KARP대한은퇴자협회(UN 경제사회이사회, 대표 주명룡) 대표와 임원진은 7월24일 대통령 직속 저출산 고령사회 위원회 김영미 부위원장을 방문하여 대한은퇴자협회가 지속적으로 추진하고 있는 고령화 저출산 정책 대안을 설명하고 제안 하는 시간을 가졌다.
대한은퇴자 협회 주명룡 회장은 단기간의 출산 장려 정책으로 회복하기 어려운 인구 감소문제의 해결책으로
-4500만 인구 제지선 설정 의 필요성,
-초, 중생들의 가족, 결혼, 출산에 관한 인식 교육,
-퇴직자들의 재고용을 통한 정년 연장 (배벌사 :배우며 벌며 사는 사회구축)
-세대 공감을 위한 YOU ( Young Old United)캠페인 확산 등을 제시 했다.
김영미 부위원장도 대한은퇴자협회의 활동에 관심을 보이며, 무조건적인 출산 장려정책이 저출산 문제를 해소할 수 없다. 또한 인구 감소로 인한 인구 구조변화 대책으로 현재 진행 중인 정책을 소개 해주었다.
마지막으로 주명룡 대표는 향후 정책 연계의 필요성과 8월 22일 개최될 시니어 시티즌 데이 행사에 서면 축사를 보내줄 것을 요청하며 1시간 동안의 면담을 마무리 하였다.

"Meeting with Vice-Chairman Kim Young-mi of the Presidential Committee on Aging Society & Population Policy"
On July 24th, representatives Juch Myong Yong of KARP visited Vice-Chairman Kim Young-mi of the Presidential Committee on Aging Society & Population Policy. During the meeting, the president Juch proposed alternative policies they have been consistently promoting to address the issues of aging and low birth rates.
President Juch Myong Yong emphasized the need for the establishment of a "45 million population cap" as a solution to the challenging problem of population decline, which cannot be easily resolved through short-term pro-natal policies. Other proposed measures included providing education on family, marriage, and childbirth for young and middle-aged individuals, extending retirement age through the reemployment of retirees (building a society of learning and earning), and promoting the "Young Old United (YOU)" campaign to foster intergenerational understanding.
Vice-Chairman Kim Young-mi showed interest in the activities of the KARP and stressed that unconditional pro-natal policies alone cannot solve the problem of low birth rates.
Lastly, President Juch highlighted the importance of future policy coordination and requested that a congratulatory message be sent for the Senior Citizens' Day event scheduled for August 22nd. The meeting concluded after an hour of discussion.
