주명룡 대한은퇴자협회 대표가 9일 캐나다 토론토 국제노령연맹 사무실에서 그레거 스네돈 사무총장과 만나 국제 연대를 강화하기로 합의했다 대한은퇴자협회(KARP: 대표 주명룡)가 캐나다 은퇴자협회(CARP)와의 업무협력 양해각서(MOU)체결(12월8일)에 이어  국제노령연맹(IFA, International Federation on Ageing) 과도 회합을 갖는 등 국제연대 강화에 본격적으로 나섰다. 주명룡 은퇴협 대표는 9일(캐나다 현지시간) 캐나다 토론토에 있는 국제노령연맹(1Bridgepoint Drive,Suite G.238,Toronro)   을 방문,그림 프라이어(Graeme Prior)회장과 그레거 스내돈(Greger Sneddon)사무총장 등 관계자들을 만나 양 단체의 연대를 강화하기로 합의했다. 주대표는 이 자리에서 한국의 고령화 대응 경험을 설명하고, 국제노령연맹은  시니어 인권 관련 노하우를 대한은퇴자협회와 공유하기로 했다.

에이지연합, 9일 ‘타오름 토크콘서트’ 개최 대한은퇴자협회( KARP: 대표 주명룡)과 에이지연합은 9일 서울 광장동 협회 강당에서 ‘세계 인권의 날과 한국 시니어 인권’을 주제로 ‘타오름 토크콘서트’를 열었다.세계 인권의 날(10일)을 앞두고 개최된 강연에는 1백여명의 시니어 회원들이 참석해 큰 관심을 보였다.강당을 가득 메운 참석자들은 한국 사회의 인권 현주소와 노년기의 구조적 문제, 그리고 앞으로 시니어 세대가 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 진지하게 귀를 기울였다.   이날 발제에 나선 협회 이석구 전문위원은 1948년 UN이 채택한 '세계인권선언(UDHR)'의 핵심을 소개하며 강연을 시작했다. 그는 “모든 인간은 태어날 때부터 자유롭고 존엄하며 평등하다”는 인권선언 제1조를 강조하며, 인권선언이 지닌 역사적 의미와 30개 조항의 구조를 설명했다.    이어 그는 세계인권선언이 국제 인권 기준을 세우고 각국 헌법과 제도 마련의 기반이 되었음을 밝히
