대한은퇴자협회(KARP:대표 주명룡)는 지난해 12월 개최한  정기 총회에서 결의한 의료 복지 사회적 협동 조합 설립을 적극 추진해 나가기로 했다.협회는 지난달 30일 서울 광진구 광장 동 협회 회의실에서 조합 설립을 위한 발기 주비위원회(籌備委員會) 모임을 갖고,가칭 '대은의료복지사회적협동조합'으로 정하고  설립 주비 위원장에 백승철 전문의를 위촉 했다. 위원회는 이날 ▶조합원과 조합원 가족을 위한 주치의 제도 확립 ▶다양한 공익 사업,조합원 복지 조합 재정 건전성 기여 ▶조합원을 위한 다양한 일자리 참여 기회 제공 ▶의료비 부담 완화,불필요한 의료비 방지 ▶건강 상담 및 지원 ▶장기적으로 규모,시설 확장을 통한 의료 혜택 확대 등을 설립 목적으로 정했다. 주비 위원회는 앞으로 발기인 모집,정관 작성,설립 동의자 모집,창립 총회 공고,총회 개최,설립인가 신청 등을 거쳐 빠르면 연내에 조합 설립을 마무리 할 계획이다. 의료 복지 사회적 협동 조합
